Joy travels the world to gather authentic stories and experiences that she brings back to share with children through books, performances, and film. Her journeys have taken her to Mexico, the Middle East including Egypt and Jordan and across Europe, including Paris, France. 

Her first book, Joy and the Far Away Land, was inspired by her childhood travels to Ukraine and Russia, where she was one of fifteen children selected to perform in the play Peace Child.  Subsequent books in the series include Joy Goes to Mexico and Joy Goes to Paris, with Joy Goes to Egypt coming soon.
