Book Joy to Visit YOUR School
Joy travels to schools with her puppet show and reads her book to thousands of children. Her message is teaching kids to love one another around the world. The book series is about spreading cultural awareness and understanding.
The book is part of the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation for the My Home Library, giving economically disadvantaged students the book.
Joy performs at the Children's Museum of Houston, the Woodlands Children's Museum and her books have been featured at select Barnes & Noble stores, the Mexic-Arte Museum in Austin, sold in select Kendra Scott Stores and bookshops across Houston. Joy goes into the most vulnerable populations in our communities. She goes to the Ronald McDonald House, the homeless shelter, CASA, detention centers for Juvenile youth and many Title 1 schools. Joy is a Performing Arts Partner with Young Audiences of Houston, a partner with Arts Connect and a teaching artist with ARTreach. She is a member of the Houston Puppetry Guild and the SCBWI. Additionally, Joy has performed in schools in Jordan, Amman and in Egypt.
